"Hope and the importance of our sisters and brothers - migrants and refugees" was discussed on 5 October 2025 as part of the celebration of the 111th World Day of Migrants and Refugees in the chapter house of the Dominican Friars' Monastery in Krakow.
We are delighted that the invitation to the panel discussion was accepted by people with experience of migration and those who are tackling this topic with their lives and work.
Guests on the panel were: Oksana Shevchenkoworking as an intercultural assistant at school. Professor Jan Brzozowski, Professor at the Jagiellonian University employed at the Institute of European Studies. Participated in research work for the Open Malopolska programme and the Migration Strategy of Poland. Marek Durski, since 2017 involved in activities supporting people with experience of migration, founder of the family initiative Pomagamy Sportowo, whose activities focused, among others, around the Moria camp on the island of Lesbos. Organiser of sports activities for detainees in the Temporary Guarded Centre for Foreigners in Wędrzyn, volunteer of the Podlaskie Volunteer Humanitarian Service; member of the Lepszy Świat Association, as part of which he initiated the Space of Good Integration. https://przestrzendobrejintegracji.pl/
